Teamwork

Coastal Mechanical Teamwork

Google defines Teamwork as the process of working collaboratively with a group of people in order to achieve a goal. Per the great Vince Lombardi, “Individual commitment to a group effort – that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.”

There is no one individual at Coastal Mechanical that can claim to be the reason for the success of the company. Likewise, there is no one individual to be blamed when we miss our mark. To be successful, it takes all team members contributing to the common goals of the organization. Each employee has a particularly important role to play, and the success of the group depends on the individual commitment to the overall goal. I often wonder how to effectively communicate what our company’s goal is. Our goal as a company is to grow the value of the business by increasing revenue and profit margin. However, our Value is so much more than dollars and cents. Yes, growth and profit improvement are good for the entire company as it opens doors of opportunity for all of our employees and helps us be able to improve our culture by having the means to give back and reward everybody’s efforts. However, I am not motivated simply by dollar signs. True value comes from people who understand the benefits of working as a team, the benefits of character, and the benefits of honoring those around you.

My goal is to be so respected in the industry amongst our customers that we wind up with an edge over our competition and can pull a higher price for the value we bring to the table.  Another goal is to provide an unbeatable value to our employees by way of respect and appreciation which leads to being the best employer in our industry… a true employer of choice. Our company motto is to deliver world-class building systems and develop world-class craftsmen. We can all contribute to this by having a World-Class mindset… So where does our true value come from? It comes from you. With a world-class mindset, our quality and production become second to none. So, when that happens, we have an edge with our customers, and the revenue growth and profit improvement will take care of itself…. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to be a part of our team… and to that I say Thank you!
