Coastal Mechanical, one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast, is currently seeking an experienced Pipefitter/Welding Superintendent to work on large commercial projects in the South Florida area. Work is mainly for hospitals, schools, Universities and Government facilities.
Requirements and responsibilities:
- 5-8 years’ experience in copper and pipe welding
- Must be able and willing to assist pipe fitters in preparation of weldments.
- Have experience supervising others, ICRA and OSHA 30
- Must be knowledgeable of all fitting take outs for screw and weld fittings.
- Must be experienced with screw pipe and weld pipe.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Must have ability to install copper piping to reheats and FCUs.
- Victaulic experience is preferred.
- Sprinkler fitters encouraged to apply.
- Follow safety procedures
- Background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug screening performed
- Position may include constant walking/standing, lifting/pulling, climbing ladders and outside work with weather conditions.
- This is not a per diem position.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range Approximately: $35-$40 per hour depending upon experience
