Coastal Mechanical is currently seeking a Sheet Metal helpers, Jr Mechanics & a Superintendent to work for our fast paced Special Projects division in the Central Florida areas for commercial projects. We are looking for an experienced Sheet metal leader who can work efficiently and independently.
Requirements and responsibilities for Superintendent :
- 10-12 years’ experience in HVAC Sheet Metal Duct Installation
- Minimum 5 yrs Management experience running construction crews of 15 to 30 men & managing jobs
- Must be able to read blueprints and understand code
- Must posses a journeyman’s license
- Must insure quality control, assist with scheduling, maintain goals
- Must insure safety rules are being followed.
- Ability to plan well, do lay-outs and understand contractor drawing details, specs and submittals.
- Will work with purchasing to procure materials needed
- Must produce project schedules, and coordinate tradesmen for each project
- Work closely with Project Managers and other team members
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Have open availability.
- Overtime may be necessary depending on jobs and schedules.
- Employer conducts background checks, motor vehicle checks, and drug screening.
- Position may include, constant walking/standing, lifting/pulling, climbing ladders and outside work with weather conditions.
Requirements and responsibilities for Mechanics:
- 2-5 years Commercial Sheetmetal Duct installation experience
- Sheet Metal Lead positions need some supervisory experience
- Fabricate, assemble, install, sheet metal equipment and HVAC duct
- Must be able to read blueprints and read specs
- Follow safety procedures
- Ability to work independently on Special Projects
- Background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug screening performed
