Employee Training

BASIC BOOT CAMP
This intensive training course is geared to employees who are new to the trade and runs for six sessions. Each participant must pass a hands on skills test and a written final exam on the last day of class.
ADVANCED CRAFT TRAINING
These courses are by invitation only and are geared to the Junior Mechanic/Mechanic level employee. The training is trade specific and usually covers three topics for each trade per year.
EMERGING LEADERS
This training is geared toward employees who have been identified by management as future Foremen (individuals who are selected must take an assessment test to qualify). Topics covered include: Basic Supervisory Training, Material Ordering, Customer Service, Quality Control, and an Introduction to Coastal Paperwork just to name a few.
LEADERSHIP TRAINING
These classes are for current Foremen and cover a wide range of topics which include:
- Jobsite safety, self-inspection and emergency medical procedures.
- Jobsite logistics and operations, such as material handling, purchasing, timecards, scheduling, equipment rentals and tools.
